The 47th Japanese Academy Awards were held today, and Godzilla Minus One won 8 of the 12 Awards it was nominated for: Best Picture Best Supporting Actress (Sakura Ando) Best Screenplay (Takashi Yamazaki) Best Cinematography (Kozo Shibasaki) Best Lighting (Noriyuki Ueda) Best Art Direction (Asato Komijo) Best Sound Recording (Hisashi Takeuchi) Best Film Editing (Ryuji Miyajima) The movie was also nominated for, but didn't win, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, and Best Music. Plans for 2024!

So I've been giving some thought to what I want to do creatively in 2024, and I've decided I'm going to challenge myself to posting at minimum 20 pages of comics this year. It's a big number, not a crazy one - I was averaging 18 pages a year from 2019 to 2021, so it's just a little bit more than what I used to do. :) I'm also, I'm afraid, going to cut back on Art Trades again - I just don't have the time for them that I used to, and I want to focus my time instead on my own work. To that end, I'm going to finish out what Art Trades I have left (many have been sitting unfinished for months already) and do not intend to reopen art trades for the rest of the year. I may do individual gifts from time to time when I feel in the mood for it, but I just cannot commit to art trades. It was a mistake reopening them last time, and I apologize to everyone I accepted trades from for taking so long already. I just don't have the time for art trades anymore, my job IRL and personal stuff just takes up too much time. The art trades I posted this week are ones I agreed to some time last year (I still have a few more from last year I'm finishing up).
